Dear Colleagues,

The enclosed articles in this issue span functional urology, urooncology, urolithiasis, and surgical techniques to advance practice in urology.

Kuo presented a critical review on video urodynamic studies for the precision, diagnosis, and treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms in women. Kumar et al. revealed that short-term preoperative dutasteride and finasteride for 2 weeks are equally effective. They significantly reduce perioperative blood loss during transurethral resection of the prostate from a prospective randomized study. Kimura et al. reported outcomes of starting low-dose pazopanib in real-world patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma, who did not meet the eligibility criteria for clinical trials. Khawaja et al. advocated retrograde extraperitoneal radical cystectomy under combined spinal and epidural anesthesia as the preferred approach for surgical intervention in high-risk and elderly patients with little abdominal organ disturbance and early bowel recovery. Rao et al. reported medium-term results of a everted saphenous vein graft (eSVG) urethroplasty in long-segment anterior urethral strictures. Pal et al. demonstrated via an observational study that Mirabegron is effective for treating lower ureteric stones ≤10 mm in size and improves the storage symptoms. Hsueh et al. presented a rare case of retroperitoneal dedifferentiated liposarcoma with compressed invasion-free kidneys.

We hope these articles update your knowledge on urology.
